All students at The Suthers School are part of a House. Each of our houses is named after a conservation area managed by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. The Houses were chosen by our founding students in 2017 as a tribute to the dedication and passion for conservation shown by the late Martin Suthers OBE and for the opportunity afforded for them to actively contribute to the ongoing conservation work being undertaken by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

Our House point system is designed to reward students for demonstrating:
100% attendance, self-control / self-discipline, meeting or exceeding a target, grit, determination, resilience, trying different methods to succeed.
Positivity, responding well to a challenge, target-setting, sustained focus on improvement, participation, making the most of feedback / next steps, being solutions-focused
Supporting others, kindness, volunteering, integrity, acting as an ambassador for WHBK, care for the school environment, contributing to the wider life of the school.
Enthusiasm, open-mindedness, trying new approaches or activities, willingness to learn, showing initiative, setting own learning challenges seeking out opportunities to develop knowledge / understanding. Sustained contribution to classroom activities.
Effort, application, diligence, quality of work, PROUD, independent study.
House Points are awarded to students online and via stickers (sets of stickers issued to staff) which carry a unique one-time cash-in code.
