Transition Process

We understand that the transition from primary school to secondary school can be a daunting prospect for both pupils and parents. Once you have chosen The Suthers School we will provide a comprehensive programme of events throughout the year allowing your child to meet their peers, engage with staff and begin to make lasting friendships.

We will also offer a series of meetings for all prospective parents allowing you to develop a strong working relationship with the school staff and other parents—and that’s because we firmly believe that truly effective education should be about much more than a group of teachers working with a group of pupils and a group of parents; it is about working as a team and striving together to achieve the same goal. That goal is to empower the young people of Newark and its surrounding communities to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Applications for a place at The Suthers School from September 2018 onwards need to be made through the Nottinghamshire County Councils coordinated scheme. Admissions arrangements including our over subscription criteria may be found on our dedication Admissions page.
